As the curtain lifts on its pricing, Acura enthusiasts can anticipate a starting price of $64,500, excluding the destination charge, for the base A-Spec rear-drive single-motor model. For the A-Spec AWD dual-motor ZDX, the starting price is $68,500, and the top-tier Type-S is priced at $73,500.

Comparing the ZDX to its electric SUV counterparts, the pricing landscape unfolds. The ZDX holds a higher starting price than the Tesla Model Y and the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq for rear-drive models. Moving to all-wheel-drive configurations, the ZDX is surpassed in entry pricing by the Tesla Model Y and the Lyriq. The performance-oriented ZDX A-Spec, boasting 500 horsepower, positions itself above competitors like the Tesla Model Y Performance, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, Kia EV6 GT, and Cadillac Lyriq Sport AWD.

Examining what the ZDX offers for the investment, the single-motor A-Spec yields 340 horsepower and an estimated range of 325 miles. The dual-motor A-Spec and the Type-S provide ranges of 315 miles and 288 miles, respectively. The Type-S emerges as the pinnacle with a robust 500 horsepower.

The ZDX is equipped with DC fast charging capabilities, supporting rates up to 190 kW. With a 102 kWh battery pack in the ZDX A-Spec, rapid charging can deliver up to 81 miles of range in just 10 minutes, under optimal conditions. An interesting addition is the adoption of Tesla’s NACS charging port, enabling compatibility with the extensive Tesla Supercharger network.

While interior details are yet to be fully disclosed, notable features include an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, an 11-inch “Precision Cockpit” digital display, and a 11.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment management. The ZDX marks Acura’s debut with Google Built-In and supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

To enhance the ownership experience, Acura offers customers three charging options (A, B, or C) when purchasing the ZDX. These options include perks such as a level 2 home charging station, installation credits, and EVgo charging credits. Additionally, all options come with 60 kWh of complimentary Electrify America introductory charging, contributing to a comprehensive electric driving package. The 2024 Acura ZDX is poised to carve a niche in the premium electric SUV market, delivering a blend of performance, features, and charging conveniences.
