The popular indie game DREDGE celebrated its first anniversary on March 28 with the launch of a special One Year Anniversary Trailer. This retrospective trailer highlights the game’s significant milestones and accomplishments over the past year, chronicling the journey of the boat through various adventures.

DREDGE, developed as a solo fishing expedition, has captivated players with its ability to sell catches, upgrade boats, and explore the depths for hidden treasures while navigating a mysterious archipelago.
By October 2023, DREDGE had reached an impressive milestone of one million copies sold and introduced The Pale Reach, a downloadable content (DLC) pack, in November 2023. In an earlier interview, Black Salt Games, the developer, had hinted at more updates for the game, teasing the arrival of the second expansion, The Iron Rig, slated for release this year.
In addition to celebrating their anniversary, the developers also demonstrated their commitment to giving back. They announced a generous donation of $100,000 to the NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust to support research and conservation efforts. Expressing gratitude to the community for their support, they stated, “Your support has made this possible!”
Looking ahead to 2024, the anniversary post hinted at more adventures to come in the Greater Marrow, giving players something to anticipate.
