Once underway, a plethora of captivating groupings will navigate the initial 18 holes. Originally slated to start the competition at 8 a.m. ET, Erik van Rooyen and Jake Knapp will now wait as Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood bring up the rear six hours later. Among the notable groupings is one featuring arguably the tournament’s top storylines.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will tee off alongside Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele, following the group led by reigning champion Jon Rahm, who is paired with reigning U.S. Amateur champion Nick Dunlap and Matt Fitzpatrick in the early wave of tee times.

Other noteworthy early pairings include Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris, as well as Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, and Cameron Smith.

As the day progresses, more stars will grace the course, with the afternoon wave highlighted by Tiger Woods. The 15-time major champion aims for his 24th consecutive cut at the Masters, paired with Max Homa and Jason Day for the first two days. Also featured in the afternoon are Brooks Koepka, Tom Kim, and Brian Harman, along with Ludvig Aberg, Jordan Spieth, and Sahith Theegala just minutes later. These are just a few of the top names in the Masters field, as ranked 1-89 by CBS Sports ahead of Thursday’s play.
