Steve Wozniak, widely recognized as “Woz” in the tech industry, played a pivotal role in the establishment of Apple alongside Steve Jobs in 1976 and was instrumental in the creation of the first Apple computer. Apple subsequently went on to become the most valuable company globally.

In March, Wozniak, alongside Elon Musk, signed a letter advocating for a temporary halt in the advancement of the most powerful artificial intelligence (AI) models. Expressing concerns about the potential misuse of AI technology, he emphasized the need for regulation during an interview with the BBC in May 2023, expressing apprehension that malicious entities could exploit AI capabilities for deceptive purposes.

He remarked, “AI is so intelligent that it can be manipulated by those with malicious intent, especially those seeking to deceive individuals.”

Despite his advocacy for AI regulation, Wozniak remained doubtful that regulatory efforts would be fully effective, stating, “I believe that the pursuit of financial gain often prevails, which is rather disheartening.”
