Dead by Daylight SHOCKER: Game-Changing Nerfs REVEALED! Chucky’s Overpowered Secret and Trickster’s Sneaky Tweaks EXPOSED!

Behaviour Interactive has toned down the latest and most formidable Killer in Dead by Daylight. The recent developer update for the asymmetrical horror game brings a series of adjustments, mainly targeting Chucky, ahead of his official release in Chapter 30 on November 28.

Chucky has been available in the Public Test Build (PTB) for a few weeks, adding an exciting dimension to the game’s lineup of iconic horror characters. However, Behaviour has decided to address a specific ability that was making the diminutive threat overly dominant.

The alteration focuses on a “small tweak” to one of Chucky’s new perks, Batteries Included, which grants the Killer a lingering speed boost when passing by a powered Generator. The issue identified by the developers is that “When the last Generator is powered, all Generators become powered,” making the perk more potent in the endgame than intended.

Rather than diminishing the effects of the perk, Batteries Included will now deactivate when the exit gates are powered. Additionally, the update extends the time it takes to Scamper under a pallet from 1.2 seconds to 1.4 seconds, providing Survivors with a better chance to react. Chucky’s movement speed has also been adjusted after missing a Slice & Dice attack to allow the player to gain more distance after a successful dodge.

Chucky isn’t the sole recipient of changes in this update. The Trickster has seen his throw rate reverted from four to three blades per second. While the laceration meter remains at eight blades, his increased movement speed aims to help him catch up to Survivors more swiftly and land additional blades.

The Trickster’s Main Event ability now requires eight blades to activate, as Behaviour observed it was too easy to earn in the PTB, especially with specific Add-Ons.

These adjustments aim to maintain balance and enhance the overall gaming experience, addressing concerns about Chucky’s overpowering presence and fine-tuning the Trickster’s gameplay dynamics.
