Downdetector reported over 70,000 complaints of platform inaccessibility, with no specific information available at the moment regarding the cause of the issue. Some users noted the ability to view ads and their own tweets on their profiles, and while profiles could be searched for, posts were not visible.

In response to the outage, numerous users turned to Facebook to express their concerns and seek confirmation of the issue’s extent. The hashtag ‘TwitterDown’ began trending despite the ongoing outage. Ironically, the Spaces feature, allowing users to engage in live stream discussions, remained operational, attracting thousands of users attempting to discern the situation.

This outage is not the first for X, as the Elon Musk-owned platform experienced downtime in March and July of the current year. During the July incident, Downdetector reported over 13,000 outages in the US and the UK, with users receiving a message stating, “Sorry, you are rate limited. Please wait a few moments then try again.” Additionally, a similar disruption occurred on March 6, affecting numerous users who reported difficulties accessing links, images, and videos, with some regions experiencing slower website performance.
