Matt Boldy and Ryan Hartman also contributed goals for the Wild, who had suffered heavy defeats in their previous encounters with the Kings. Filip Gustavsson made 23 saves to secure the win.

Gustavsson reflected on their previous loss, stating, “They ran us out of the building last time we were here, 6-0. We wanted to finish off strong and personally, finish off on a good note.”

Blake Lizotte scored for the Kings, but Cam Talbot conceded three goals on 29 shots, allowing the Wild to disrupt the Kings’ position in the Pacific Division.

Wild coach John Hynes praised Boldy’s performance, highlighting his impact on the game, particularly on the power play.

The Wild’s success continued with a late second-period goal from Hartman, assisted by Kaprizov, who also secured his 50th assist of the season before cheekily banking in his 45th goal off Talbot in the third period.

Despite Lizotte’s late goal for the Kings, their lackluster performance raised concerns reminiscent of their struggles earlier in the season.
