Officials at Citizens Bank Park rolled out the red carpet on Monday, setting the stage for a grand celebration of all things new for Phillies fans ahead of the highly anticipated Opening Day on Thursday.

With excitement buzzing in the air, Phillies PA announcer Dan Baker expressed the collective anticipation for the start of the 2024 season. Opening Day, scheduled for March 28 at Citizens Bank Park against the Atlanta Braves, marks a significant milestone as it signifies 20 years since the Phillies made the ballpark their home.
Inside Pass and Stow, a table adorned with a plethora of enticing offerings showcased the array of experiences awaiting fans. From new player gear to Phanatic-themed merchandise, the display also highlighted fresh promotions, giveaways, and delectable food and drink creations eagerly awaiting patrons.
Among the culinary delights to savor this year are the Schwarsburger 2.0 and a tantalizing bratwurst sandwich. Additionally, new partners such as Briganti Wines, Big Mozz, and Primo Hoagies are joining the roster, further enriching the ballpark experience.
Aramark Executive Chef Vonnie Negron emphasized the importance of listening to fans’ preferences, ensuring that each visitor’s palate is catered to. The commitment to fan satisfaction extends beyond culinary delights, with the promise of theme nights, scarves, t-shirts, hats, and coveted items tied to beloved players like Bryce Harper.
Scott Brandreth, director of promotions, unveiled plans for engaging giveaways, including headbands inspired by Bryce Harper’s signature style. The aim is to enhance the overall fan experience, enticing attendees to return time and again.
In a nod to technological advancements, the Phillies technology team is elevating the fan experience with innovative digital enhancements. Notably, the expansion of facial authentication technology, dubbed “Go Ahead Entry,” promises seamless entry for fans at the Third Base and Left Field Gates. VP & Chief of Technology Sean Walker emphasized the integration of this technology with heightened security measures to streamline the entry process while maintaining safety standards.
Adding a touch of artistry to the ballpark, Colombian-born artist Jose Bustamante was recognized for his winning mural entitled “Next Generation.” Celebrating Philadelphia’s rich culture and the fervent spirit of Phillies fandom, Bustamante’s mural will adorn the space above Ashburn Alley in left-center field, offering fans an immersive visual tribute to their beloved team and city.
